We have LOTS of new spring merchandise at the shop, so come on by and see what’s new for spring. We also have spring suits and wet-suit jackets as the water temperature should rise in the next few weeks.
Surf at the Washout is knee to thigh high. Occasionally there is a waist high set.
Winds are south-east – on-shore – at 10 to 12 knots. Surf zone is bumpy and choppy. It’s pretty weak at the high tide this morning, but it is building.
Winds rotate south late morning at 15 to 20, then fall off at 10 to 15 mid-afternoon. Surf should be bumpy and semi-choppy later in the day.
High tide is this morning at 8:51 p.m., and low tide will be at 2:45 p.m. The next high tide is at 8:59 pm.
The Edisto buoy is reading 5 ft. at 6 seconds in a short-period south-east wind swell that has just started to build over the past 4 hours.

Surf will average in the thigh-to-waist high range with plus sets as a warm-front lifts north today, and a cold front stalls near our coast Friday night. Look for choppy surf today with moderately strong south winds. We see cleaner conditions for Saturday morning with some fun leftovers. Surf will fall off again late-day Saturday. We see another low affect our marine area early next week, sending in some south wind-swell for Monday and Tuesday.
