Good morning this is Luke with your Ocean Surf Shop report and forecast for Thursday November 30th at 8:30 A.m.
Surf at Folly is still flat ankle-knee high at best.
Winds are light south today 5-10mph overall clean surface conditions.
We have a high approaching at 10:54 a.m. and the tide will drain out to low at 4:56 p.m.
The Edisto buoy currently reading 3.6ft at 5 seconds in SSE short period wind-swell.
Flat trend continues through today. We may get some slight relief over the weekend as a front looks to interact with our marine area Saturday and Sunday although don’t expect much, thigh-waist high sets in SSE wind-swell. High pressure returns later on Sunday again keeping the surf down to start our work week next week. Only hope next week I am is a gigantic low looks to develop in the Northern Atlantic next week and sling a significant NE swell to Florida. So a road trip may be in the cards for the ambitious.
NOAA Forecast: “High pressure will prevail across the region today. A warm front will shift through the area Friday, before a cold front arrives early next week. High pressure will then prevail during the middle of next week. “
Current water temp: 59*
Temperatures have warmed back up mid 50s this morning with a high of 72 and overcast skies with rain moving in late.
That’s all from us at Ocean Surf Shop Well check back in tomorrow.
