Weekly Wave Forecast

We see surf begin to build some late day in a fresh easterly wind swell, then a series of storm systems begin its push through our marine area for today and into early next week. This should build another significant south wind swell into the weekend, with moderate-to-strong south winds increasing Saturday ahead of a cold front. A cold front stalls in our marine area Sunday, when we moderate south winds with decent sized surf and bumpy conditions. Look for waves to average chest high (plus) for the period. We forecast significant trade wind swell through the middle of next week as high pressure sets up well off the Mid-Atlantic states, with more on-shore flow predicted. Surf looks to fall off late next week. Plenty of surf in the forecast for the next six days. Wax ‘yo stick.

Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast for our marine area calls for: “High pressure will prevail through tonight. A cold front will approach the region on Saturday then will stall over or near the region through the middle of next week. Another cold front will sweep through next Thursday.”
