Good morning, this is Bates with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Friday, January 19 at 8:30 a.m.

The Taste of Folly Festival is taking place on Saturday, come hang with us on the deck at the shop and check out the festivities.
Surf at the Washout this morning is very small and weak. It is ankle to knee high.
Surf zone is side-shore and bumpy.
Winds are west at 5 to 10 knots. We see winds veer south-west at 10 knots late this morning, adding some side-shore bump to the surf zone.
High tide will be at 9:10 a.m., and low tide will be at 3:18 p.m. The next high tide is at 9:13 p.m.
Edisto buoy is reading 1.6 ft. at 11 seconds in easterly ground swell.
Surf stays very small today and into the weekend. We see the potential for a quick shot of small, choppy south-west wind swell late Monday into early Tuesday as a cold front passes. A low pressure system approaches our area late during the work week, and could bring unsettled weather and some mixed direction wind swell Thursday in to Friday.
Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast for our marine area calls for: “High pressure will prevail through the weekend. A cold front will move through the region Monday night into Tuesday morning, followed by more high pressure through the middle of next week.”
It is 32* this morning. It is sunny. We see sun today and a high of around 57*.
Water temperature is 45*.
Sunset is at 5:39 p.m. and sunrise will be at 7:20 a.m.
