Surf at the Washout this morning is knee-to-thigh high and semi-choppy at the lower tide this morning. It is kind of closing out at the lower tide. It could get a slight push as the tide comes in. Surf is not quite as good as it has been.

Winds are south-west at 5 knots today, and the surf should shake off the morning sickness as the tide comes in.

Look for south winds at 5 knots this afternoon. Not much wind in the forecast for today.

Tide is coming in, and high tide is at 1:25 p.m., low tide will be at 7:34 p.m.

Look for semi-clean thigh-high surf this afternoon as the tide goes out late day. We see small, semi-choppy south-west wind swell average around knee-to-thigh high throughout most of the weekend. It’ll likely still be rideable on a longboard. High pressure is set up over our marine area, bringing us a typical summer weather pattern and typical summer south wind-swell. No major swell to mention on the horizon, and the tropics look quiet for a week to 10 days out.

Your National Weather Service Marine Weather Forecast for our area calls for: “Deep high pressure will prevail through this weekend. A weak front will move into the region early next week, possibly stalling in the vicinity midweek.”

It’s very sunny this morning and 80*. Look for a high of 84* today and partly cloudy skies this afternoon. There is a slight chance for a thunderstorm.

Water temperature is around 84*.
