Surf at Folly not looking to hot, knee to thigh high and winds are hurting it at the moment ENE winds creating some funk to it.
Winds are ENE around 15-25mph today creating some choppy conditions for most of today.
Low tide is at 12:05 p.m. High tide is at 6:19 p.m.
Edisto Buoy is reading 4.3 at 10 seconds from the SE.
Surf has continued to dwindle down a bit still showing a knee-waist high wave on this mornings high tide. We have a low heading our way and winds will start to ramp up and trend more southerly into Saturday. Building choppy conditions through the day on Saturday with strong south winds will get the surf to pick up into the chest high + area before sunset. The low moves out Saturday night and winds rotate favorably offshore. Hoping Sunday morning we have some leftovers before the swell completely fades out. High pressure then returns over our marine area and the surf will then be on the downside to start our work week.
The water temp is around 60*. Its starting to warm up!
The NOAA Marine Forecast for our marine area calls for: “A low pressure system is expected to impact the region Friday night through Saturday night, with high pressure to return early next week.”
It’s 65* and sunny. Clouds build in later today.
Sunrise is 6:41 a.m., Sunset 6:20 p.m.
That’s all from us at Ocean Surf Shop. We’ll check back tomorrow.
