Good morning, this is Luke with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report for Friday, May 10 at 8:15 a.m.
Come by and check out our new summer T-shirts and Hats. We have every color and design from Beau-Gator to Playa’ Hater.
Surf at Folly is about knee-thigh high looks fun for the longboards this morning.
We see west south-west winds today around 10-15mph
We have a high tide at 10:51 a.m. Low tide at 4:24 p.m.,
The Edisto buoy is reading 4.3 feet at 6 seconds from the SSW.
Small SSW wind-swell showing this morning around thigh high, again looking fun on the longboards. This weekends unfortunately looking on the smaller side as high pressure will be building back in. Early work week next week we may get a little help with a approaching system that looks to generate a small shot of South swell late Monday into Tuesday we will keep you posted.
Your NOAA Marine Weather forecast for our local waters calls for: “High pressure will prevail for the weekend into early next week. A storm system could affect the area by the middle of next week.”
Water temperature is hovering right around 73*, so spring suits and jackets are the call for mornings.
It’s currently 68* and partly cloudy. Today we see a high of 79* and thunderstorms are on the way.
Sunrise 6:26 a.m., Sunset 8:06 p.m.
