Good morning this is Luke the Kook with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Friday, May 5th at 8:30 a.m.
Happy Cindo De Mayo!! Perfect day for offshore fishing looking at our buoy data.
Surf at Folly is as bad as it gets flat and light E winds.
Winds are light out of the east 5-10mph winds should slightly pick up out of the SE later today.
We have a high tide today at 8:15 a.m. Low tide will drain out at 2:21 P.m. with another High filling back in around sunset time.
The Edisto Buoy is reading 1.0 ft at 13 seconds from the E .
Surf is down again today completely flat. I doubt @anthonyosment wont even surf today 😊 Next hope for some surf comes as a cold front moves into the area for Sunday, but your surf forecast is looking pretty bleak even through the weekend. Might have something small to ride early next week after the front passes through.
Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast calls for: “High pressure will translate offshore today with weak mid-level ridging slowly building across the region. A few embedded mid-level disturbances will then pass the region Monday and Tuesday, followed by a potential cold front next Thursday.
Its 61 this morning with overcast skies. Temps should pick up to low 70s with clouds prevailing.
Water temperature is 72*.
