Good morning this is Bates with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Friday, November 18 at 8:30 a.m.

A range of new Torq surfboards have arrived at the shop. Come check them out while we still have a wide range of sizes.

You probably don’t really need me to tell you this, but waves at The Washout this morning are flat.

Winds are blowing north at 8 knots, and surf zone is clean.

We see north winds today at 10 knots, and surf zone will be overall pretty clean today with cool conditions.

We just came off a low tide. High tide will be at 3 p.m., and low tide will be at 9:14 p.m.

The Edisto Buoy is reading 2 feet at8 seconds in an east/south-east medium period swell.

Small waves are in the forecast as side/offshore flow is forecast through the weekend. There’s not much on the horizon, through Monday. There looks to be a swell starting up on Tuesday of next week building bigger for the Thanksgiving holiday work week as low pressure moves into our marine area bringing some warmer temperatures, rain and some onshore flow that could kick up some rideable swell into the middle and latter part of next week.

Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast for our area currently calls for: “High pressure will provide dry and cool conditions Saturday. Weak low pressure could produce a few showers Saturday night into Sunday. Then, cool high pressure will prevail into early next week. A series of low pressures could bring milder temperatures and periods of unsettled conditions Tuesday through late week. A cold front is then expected to bring a return than cooler than normal conditions next week.”

It’s a chilly 47* with sun this morning.   Look for a high of 56* and sun today.

Water temperature is dropping off. It’s running around 60*

Sunrise is at 6:51 a.m., and sunset will be at 5:17 p.m.

Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
