Good morning, this is Bates with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Friday, Nov. 29 at 8:30 a.m.

We will be open for normal business hours today: 10 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.

We will be having our annual “Schwack Friday” sale TODAY. We’ll have 25% off men’s and women’s foot-wear and apparel and sunglasses, and $100 off of any new board in the shop. This includes $40 off of any soft-board and Skateboard. There will be lots of other deals, so come check out the sale.

Surf at Folly this morning is knee high. It’s pretty small this morning.

Winds are north this morning at 15 to 18 knots, and surf is side-shore, weak and choppy with a slight drift down the beach.

Look for winds to calm down some today and continue north at around 10 to 12 knots, with side-shore conditions and small surf today into Saturday.

High tide will be at 9:37 a.m., and low tide will be at 3:50 p.m. The next high tide is at 9:46 pm.

The Edisto Buoy is reading a predominantly north-east swell 5.9 ft. at around 7 seconds. This swell has a high angle, and most is passing by our beaches.

North-east wind swell looks like it could build slightly today, but it’ll still be small and drifty. As another cold front approaches Sunday, look for a bigger, choppy strong south/south-west wind swell building mid-day, and cleaning up some just before dark on Sunday. Surf looks to fall off Monday and into the middle of next week as cold high pressure sets up again over our marine area.

It’s cool and mostly cloudy at the beach this morning, with a temp of 49*. Look for sun coming from behind clouds today, and a high of only 60*.

Water temperature is now 58*

Sunrise is at 7:02 a.m. and sunset will be at 5:13 p.m.

Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
