Good morning this is Bates with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Friday, November 3 at 8:30 a.m.

Surf at Folly is knee-to-thigh high with a slightly bigger set in high-angled, drifty conditions from the north-east.

Winds are north/north-east this morning around 10 knots, and this wind pattern should continue through the remainder of today.

High tide is at 12:40 p.m. We’ll see the only low tide today at 7:16 p.m.

The Edisto Buoy is reading 5 feet at 6 seconds in a short period north-east wind swell, most of which is blowing by our beaches.

North-east wind waves will be the call for this weekend, with plenty of drift down the beach and high-angled wind waves with side-shore conditions. Surf should average thigh to waist high for the period as high pressure will remain set up over our general marine area. Might want to head to Central Florida for some north-east swell.

Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast calls for: “High pressure will prevail through much of next week.’

Water temperature is starting to drop, it’s around 65*.

It’s 51* this morning with sun. Expect a cool beach day with sun and a high of 67*,

Sunrise is at 7:38 a.m. Sunset is right at 6:27 p.m.
