Good morning, this is Bates with your Ocean Surf Shop Surf Report and Forecast for Friday, November 8 at 8:30 a.m.
This surf report is dedicated to all the Bed-Head-Hotties checking the surf from the couch on the phone -ogling the surf-cams when it’s too damn foggy to see. Haha.
Really good surf this morning, but the fog is as thick as pea-soup, so we went onto the Pier to update the report this morning.
Off-shore winds. Stomach-to-chest high surf of very good quality early this morning.
Winds are forecast to pick up from the east/south-east at 5 knots. Expect clean surf today, and GO SURF!
We have a high tide approaching at 10:31 a.m. with a low tide at 5:02 p.m.
Edisto Buoy is reading 3.6 feet at 7 seconds in medium period south-easterly swell.
We have good surf in the water, and go surf if you can. This swell is going to die some over the weekend. But with a slow frontal boundary moving through and stalling to our south, while high pressure keeps to our north we will see the wave train continue with varying wind conditions through Monday, so look for surf to continue. We’ll be seeing smaller surf for mid-week, so to all the bed-head-hotties, IF YOU’VE READ THIS FAR. Get up and get it.
Water temp is 70*
It’s foggy, but this should burn off. Look for a high of 78* and clouds/sun this afternoon.
Sunrise was at 6:43 a.m. and Sunset will be at 5:23 p.m.
