Good morning this is Luke the kook with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Friday, Nov 10th at 8:30 a.m.
With the time change, we have changed our shop hours. We are now open for winter hours from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. We will still close at 5 p.m. on Sundays.
Surf at Folly is FLAT
Winds are south-west 5-10 mph today making for clean surface conditions.
Low tide is approaching at 10:51 a.m., High tide will be 4:56 p.m.
The Edisto Buoy is reading 2.3 feet at 4 seconds in short period wind-swell.
High pressure has kept the surf flat for the work week, but we may get some relief this weekend. A cold front is due to push through Friday night, winds will rotate out of the north-east and we should see some high angled NE wind-swell build slightly on Saturday don’t expect much. Sunday moisture looks to move out of the Florida Panhandle area into our marine area and produce some onshore flow more favorably out of the south. Keep eye on flags later Sunday for a possible cleanup. Surf will fade out quickly. Surf stays down Early work week, but watching a potential low coming off Florida mid-week next week. Some surf in the forecast just keep an eye on things and find the windows.
Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast calls for: “High pressure will extend across the region today. A cold front will move through our area tonight, then stall just to our south through Sunday. High pressure is expected to gradually build back in from the north early to mid next week.
Water temperature is starting to drop, it’s around 67*.
The weather is beautiful. It’s 64* and sunny. Look for a high of 77* today with sun mixed with clouds.
Sunrise is at 6:42 a.m. Sunset is right at 5:24 p.m.
Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
