Good morning this is Luke with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Friday, Nov 17th at 7:45 a.m.

Surf is pretty solid at Folly this morning chest to head high not lining up all that well but overall looking fun winds aren’t to bad early.

Winds are light/moderate out of the NNE this morning 10mph. forecast says winds will lighten up late today.

High tide is at 10:45 a.m. We have a low tide is 5:00 p.m.,

The Edisto Buoy is reading 7.9 ft at 9 seconds in ESE swell.

Surf is currently showing chest-head high looking solid and fun. A low off Florida lifts to the north Friday as this occurs swell will then rotate more ESE to E later but will also begin to produce more favorable winds. Swell will begin a fading trend Saturday although fun thigh-belly high clean surf should be on offer. Surf dwindles around a few log waves late weekend into Monday. We will begin to see a rapid building trend in fresh southerly wind-swell late Monday into Tuesday. Plenty of surf on tap watch the flags and keep an eye our for those moments of glory.

Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast calls for: “An area of Low pressure will move up the coast through Friday, then a cold front will move through our area on Saturday. High pressure will build in early next week, then a cold front will move through on Tuesday.”

Water temperature is starting to drop, it’s around 65*.

It’s 61* cloudy and windy. Look for a high of 72*, cloudy with rain showers. Sun comes back later today.

Sunrise is at 6:48 a.m. Sunset is right at 5:19 p.m.
