Friday November 24th
clean
Good morning this is Luke with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Friday, November 24 at 8 a.m.
We hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!
We will close the shop at 2 p.m. on Wednesday the 22rd of November and we will be closed on Thanksgiving. We wish you all a happy Turkey Day!
Surf at Folly Is knee high and glassy, could be a few log waves but looking weak overall.
Winds are light and variable making for clean surface conditions today.
We have a low tide approaching at 11:24 A.M. and a high tide will then follow at 5:27 P.m.
The Edisto Buoy is reading 3ft at 9 seconds in easterly swell.
Surf is down for the day perhaps a log wave can be found here and there. I mentioned early this week we may get some moisture emerging out of the gulf, that moisture is here but unfortunately it didn’t materialize into a low or have any rotation. Looking further ahead high pressure is due to settle back in late weekend into early work week next week and beyond. So not the best forecast Im sorry. Pray for surf.
Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast calls for: “. High pressure will extend over the area through Saturday before a weak area of low pressure tracks across the Southeast U.S. late this weekend into early next week. High pressure is expected to return, thereafter.”
Water temperature is 63*. Bring your wetsuit.
It’s 56** cloudy and rainy. We see off and on showers and cloudy skies today. High around 60*
Sunrise is at 6:52 a.m. Sunset is right at 5:17 p.m.
Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
