Side-shore, cool north winds are keeping surf semi-clean this morning with waves averaging about knee-to-thigh high. You’ll need a spring suit this morning with the chill in the air. This afternoon, look for bumpy surf with a north-east wind at 10 to knots. Surf goes small for the weekend, and into early next week as high pressure sets up, but we should have perfect weather for inshore fishing, or a trip to the beach. Surf looks to stay small into next week. We could see some pre-frontal south wind swell during the middle of next week.
Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast for our marine area calls for: “High pressure will prevail through Saturday night. A weak cold front is forecasted to approach from the west on Sunday, then become stationary over or near the area until a second, stronger cold front moves through towards the middle of next week.”
