Good morning this is Bates with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Saturday, October 22 at 8:30 a.m.

We received a shipment of Catch Surf Logs at the shop. We have 7’0” and 8’0” logs back in stock. Come get them while they’re hot.

Waves at The Washout this morning are once again flat. No kegs allowed.

Winds are north at 10 to 12 knots, and surf zone is side-shore and clean.

Look for north winds at 10 to 15 knots, increasing with a gust to 20 knots this afternoon. Surf zone stays side-shore and drifty today.

Tide is going out. We have a low tide at 12:08 p.m., and a high tide will be at 6:21 p.m.

The Edisto Buoy is reading 2.6 feet at 6 seconds in a small, short-period east/north-east wind swell.

For the weekend we see drifty, north/north-east wind swell begin to build this afternoon. There will probably be something to ride, but likely not much to write home about. This wind swell continues to build Sunday and into early next week. Sunday looks to be the best hope for some surf, but nothing too great. Central Florida might be the call for waves over the weekend.

Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast for our area currently calls for: “Dry high pressure will remain over the area through next Tuesday. A weak cold front should move through mid week. High pressure then returns late week before weak low pressure approaches next weekend.”

Water temperature is running around 70*

It’s a chilly 53* and sunny this morning. Look for a sunny day with perfect beach weather and a high of 73*.

Sunrise is at 7:29 a.m., and sunset will be at 6:39 p.m.

Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
