Good morning, this is Luke with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Friday, October 6th at 8:30 a.m.
We have wetsuits on the floor for men and women. This weekend we have morning temps in the 50’s. Come get ready for cold weather surfing with Ocean Surf Shop.
Surf at Folly looking fun, waist-belly high. Tide push should help it out and winds have clocked around to offshore.
Winds are north 5-10mph today making for clean conditions.
We just came off a low tide at report time. High tide will fill in at 2:00 p.m.
The Edisto Buoy is reading 4.9ft at 11 seconds in SE swell.
Surf is looking fun for today Waist-chest high and clean. Tropical storm Phillipe swell is on tap for today and into our weekend. We should see some decent groundswell through Friday and Saturday. Phillipe swell will then taper off and surf will become smaller is Phillipe lifts further north away from our window. Surf should stay somewhat down early work week. But we have lots of moisture in the western Gulf of Mexico next week that looks to lift to the north-east off our coastline. Models are hinting at a potential low developing. It’s a complex scenario next week either way I believe we will have a significant swell maker mid-late work week this up coming week. Lots of surf on tap YEEEEEW!!!!!
Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast calls for: “ Weak high pressure will prevail into tonight. A cold front will quickly move through the region Saturday morning, followed by more High pressure prevailing early next week.”
Water temperature is around 74*.
It’s 71 with hazy sunshine. Look for a high of around 81* today with a mix of clouds and sunshine.
Sunrise is at 7:15 a.m., and sunset will be at 7:01 p.m.
Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
