Good morning, this is Luke with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Friday September 1st at 7:00 a.m.

We will be having a Labor Day board sale, with $100 off many boards in the shop. Come check out what’s on sale.

Surf at folly is about knee-waist high in high angled north-east wind-swell. Pretty drifty and soft not looking to hot. Although there is a wave.

Winds are currently Moderate out of the north-east 15+mph and that should continue through our day.

Tides coming in high will be at 9:37 a.m. Low tide will be at 3:49 p.m.,

The Edisto Buoy is reading 5.2 feet at 7 seconds in short period ENE wind-swell.

Surf is currently knee-waist high in locally produced high angled north-east wind-swell. That should continue today into tomorrow. The Atlantic is firing right with multiple systems but they are north of our swell window. Meanwhile, high pressure does move back in over our marine area and things become more quite again early next week so expect a couple down days. Good news is models all across the board are having the new system the just pushed off NW Africa to develop in the coming days and move westward towards our general area. NHC is upgraded chances of development to 90% and most models currently suggest its track just north of the Caribbean islands. That’s all for now keep your eyes on the tropics.

Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast calls for: “High pressure will persist across the region through late next week.”

 Water temperature is around 85*.

It’s 73 with clear skies no humidity* Look for a high of 81* with sunshine returning. Its much cooler out and feels great.

Sunrise is at 6:53 a.m., and sunset will be at 7:47 p.m.

Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
