Good morning everyone, this is Luke Da Kook with your surf report & forecast for Monday, August 4th, 2025 at 7:45 a.m.
Semi-choppy
Surfs looking knee-thigh+ in windy NE drifty conditions. Not looking great. But hope could be on the way.
Winds are coming out of the North-east at 10-20mph surf is drifty
We will have a low tide this morning at 10:22 a.m. Expect a high tide this afternoon at 5:14 p.m.
The Edisto Buoy is currently reading 4.9 ft at 6 seconds from the ENE.
Short period high angled NE wind-swell prevails today. Thigh high or so im going to pass. Tropical Stormm Dexter was born, hes churning several hundred miles east of Hatteras north of our swell window unfortunately. Meanwhile, two areas of interest in the backend of the week for us. Models still not very consistent but regardless a weak-moderate low should form off the SE coastline by mid-late week headed our direction. This said, surf should pick up later Thursday into Saturday. Winds could be an issue due to the close proximity of this system. Its early to tell we will keep you in the loop on winds. But more significant surf should be expected late work week.
Water temperatures are sitting at a toasty 85*, basically soup. Bring your board and possibly a baguette to go along with it.
It is currently 78* and cloudy. Look for a high of 85* with clouds and some possible rain.
Sunrise was at 6:34 a.m. and the sunset will be at 8:16 p.m.
Thanks for tuning in for today’s Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast.
