Good morning folks. This is Luke Da Kook with your surf report and forecast for Wednesday, January 28, 2026.

clean

Time of Report: 8:00
Wave Forecast: flat
Traffic: none
Parking: none
Dangers: cold

Surf is currently flat at Folly and freezing cold. Winds are offshore. At least the daylight is lasting longer.

We have a low tide at 9:54 a.m. followed by a high tide later at 3:43pm

The Edisto buoy is 1.3. ft at 10 seconds from the SE.

Surf has gone flat high pressure has set up over our marine area. Cold weather should persist and lack luster surf the remainder of our work week. We are watching closely a coastal winter low that looks to develop off the SE coastline this Saturday. Our only hope is it develops far enough south to be in our window during development phase of the low. As of now that’s not the case but its days out things can change and certainly something to watch.

Water temp is 49*, so booties and a 4/3 suit would be best if you had it.

It’s 38* and overcast this morning. Look for a high of 50* clouds mixed with fog.

Sunrise was 7:19 a.m. Sunset 5:47 p.m.

Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
