Used board rack is looking full, and you know you need that new stick for warmer weather. Also, we have lots of new boards coming in. Come check us out when you’re at the beach.
Surf looking weak in knee high NE wind-swell slappers.
Wind is north/north-east this morning around 10 to 15 knots with a higher gust, and surf is textured. Wind should stay the same today.
We are just coming off a high tide at report time, Low tide is at 1:09 p.m. We are expecting high tide at 7:12 p.m.
Edisto buoy is currently reading 4.3 ft at 5 seconds in short period north-east wind swell, so nothing showing at Folly.
The good news is there will be surf this weekend, so all you weekend warriors wax up and get to the beach, because there should be a nice trade wind swell in the water building Saturday and filling in Sunday and Monday as high pressure slides off the mid-Atlantic and keeps south wind pushing in south swell. The only fly in the soup might be the wind – south at 10 to 15 – but these swell are usually fun. So come check up out when you get to the beach.
Our friends over at NOAA predict, “High pressure will prevail through Saturday. A cold front will move through on Monday, followed by high pressure.
The water temperature is around 62*.
It’s currently 53* and sunny on Folly. It should be a nice sunny day on the island with a high of 65* and lots of sun.
Sunrise was at 7:17 a.m., and sunset will be at 7:35 p.m.
