Good morning, this is Luke bringing you your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Sunday, March 2nd at 8:45 a.m.

Semi-choppy

Time of Report: 8 a.m.
Wave Forecast: Knee.
Traffic: Not too bad.
Parking: Some.
Dangers: Windy, drifty conditions.

Surfs not looking good currently, knee high, high angled NE wind-swell.

The winds are currently coming from the NNE forecasted to trend more NE 15+mph dying down as the day moves on.

We have a high tide at 9:31 a.m. The next low tide will be at 3:41 p.m.

Edisto Bouy is reading 7.5 feet at 6 seconds in short period NNE wind-swell.

Surf stays down to begin our work week. Knee high slappers. Tuesday High pressure slides off the SE coast and onshore flow will begin and a slow building trend will begin knee-thigh high. Weds a cold front looks to move in and stronger southerly flow/winds will be easily noticed building our surf further into the overhead range by days end. The unfortunate news is models currently have the winds shifting offshore overnight weds. So HOPEfully we have a nice leftover wave Thursday morning. Either way our flat spell will officially be broken.

Our guys and gals at NOAA predict a “High pressure will return Sunday and prevail through Tuesday. A stronger cold front will impact the region on Wednesday, followed by more high pressure for late next week.”

The water temperature is around 53*

It’s 51* and cloudy right now. Expect the winds to stick around today with a high of 51*.

Sunrise was at 6:46 a.m., and sunset will be at 6:17 p.m.

Thanks for tuning in for the Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast.
