Surf Is beginning to wake back up!! SSW wind-swell is on the rise. Currently waist to Stomach high it’s a mess out there. Surf should significantly build with a hopeful late day cleanup.
Winds are near Gale out of the South south west 25+ winds will eventually turn more W later today.
We just came off a low tide approaching at 10:15 a.m. High tide will be at 4:12 p.m.
The Edisto Buoy is reading 5.6 ft at 6 seconds out of the S.
Our strong frontal boundary has approached our marine area and a building SSW wind-swell is currently being generated. Sets up to head high should be on offer when the wind is forecasted to turn more favorable out of the west later today. Hard offshore winds will knock the surf down overnight. Looking ahead we have a strong high pressure moving off the New England coast late week into the weekend bringing ENE winds and rising ENE wind-swell. This will generate a easterly swell trending more ESE. If these models remain the same we can expect great fetch and period in this late weekend swell meaning we should have surf for a few days starting Sunday into early next week. Also tons of moisture lingers in the Caribbean. Overall we have a good amount of surf ahead WAX EM UP!!!!
Water temperature is around 58*.
It’s 55* cloudy with rain squalls. Todays high is 60*.
Sunrise was at 7:12 a.m., and sunset will be at 5:15 p.m.
Thanks for tuning in for the Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast.
