Good Morning this is Luke da Kook with your Monday surf report December 2, 2024.

Clean.

Time of Report: 8 a.m.
Wave Forecast: Flat.
Traffic: Not too bad.
Parking: Some.
Dangers: None

Surf at Folly Flat trend continues. Tons of Bait hugging the beach GO FISH.

Winds are light  out of the north this morning. Slight texture to the surface.

Edisto buoy reading 1.6ft at 5 seconds in short period east/south-east swell.

We have a high tide at report time. Low tide later today at 1:50 p.m. with in incoming tide for the remainder of the day from there.

With all this cold high pressure creating off-shore flow and dry weather, we don’t expect too much surf this week, so it’s a good week to get your shopping done. Best hope for a choppy south wind-swell comes late in the week as a cold front approaches our area once more and south winds trend toward the approaching frontal boundary.

Your NOAA marine weather forecast for our marine area calls for: “High pressure will prevail through the middle of next week. A cold front could push across the area near the end of next week.”

It’s brisk this morning. 50* and sunny. Look for a nice day with a high of 57 and some clouds moving in later.

Water is dropping. It’s 59*. We have new O’Neill Hyperfreaks on the floor.

Thanks for checking in on your Ocean Surf shop, and tell Gramps, “maybe next year, Tiger.”
