Good morning, this is Luke Da Kook with your Ocean Surf Shop surf forecast for Sunday, May 11th at 7:45am.

Clean.

Time of Report: 8 a.m.
Wave Forecast: Knee-to-thigh.
Traffic: Not too bad.
Parking: Some.
Dangers: None.

Waves continue at the pier this morning around knee high with thigh high sets. Overall its clean early, unpredictable winds today with unsettled weather still over us. Overall looks like a fun log wave this a.m

Winds are light and variable, forecasted to become ESE 10-15mph later.

We have a high tide at report time,  an upcoming low tide is at 1:51 p.m. High tide is at 8:19 p.m.

The Edisto buoy is reading 4.3ft @ 8 seconds in a medium period swell out of the E swell.

Unsettled weather and a broad area of low pressure move more easterly very slowly today winds will eventually pick up SE into the early work week. This should generate a decent building trend with decent fetch until Weds where we may have a slight cleanup day. Swell looks to peak Tuesday. Most of this swell event will have moderate onshore winds but fun sessions should be had. Looking pretty flat after mid week so get it while you can as high pressure looks to build back in over our marine area. Cheers

Our guys and gals at NOAA say, “A front will remain stalled near our area through early next week. Low pressure will slowly move through Monday into Tuesday, followed by high pressure.”

It’s currently 70* and overcast with a slight drizzle. Looks to stay overcast with chance of rain throughout the day. High reaching 74*

Sunrise was at 6:24 a.m. and the sunset will be at 8:08 p.m.

Thanks for tuning in for the Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast.

Cheers!!
