Good morning, this is Luke Da Kook with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Friday, April 24th at 6:45 a.m.

semi choppy

Time of Report: 6:30
Wave Forecast: ankle to knee
Traffic: not bad
Parking: some
Dangers: None

Good luck to our team surfing in Regionals this weekend!

New Quiet Flight boards arrived this week. We have some really good-looking logs, high-performance longboards and mid-lengths in stock. Come check them out.

Surf at Folly Pier is shin high at best and looks doable for the longboards this morning, but not super great. There is not a ton of swell and the winds from the SW at 5kt make it look a little textured too.

We have low tide at 9:05 a.m.  We have a high tide at 2:36 p.m. And another low tide at 9:13 p.m.

The Edisto Buoy is reading 1.3 ft at 7 seconds from the SE.

Weak high pressure still sits offshore keeping our surf lack luster. Into the later weekend we have unsettled weather and some onshore flow could develop. The optimist in me feels we should get a slight uptick in surf in the later weekend into early work week. Nothing epic but a noticeable difference in surf will hopefully be enough to get us wet.

Our buddies at NOAA predict, “High pressure will linger over the coastal waters through late week. A cold front is forecast to sweep across the region Saturday into Sunday”. So, let’s hope for a wiggle this weekend. Us surfers are dying for a wave!

It’s 68* and Sunny. Look for a high of 76*

Water temp is around 67*. Spring suits or bareback

Sunrise is at 6:42 a.m., and sunset is at 7:56 p.m.

Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
