Good morning, this is Luke Da Kook with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Monday April 28 at sunrise at the Pier.

Choppy

Time of Report: 7am
Wave Forecast: Knee-to-thigh.+
Traffic: Not bad.
Parking: Lots.
Dangers: Windy, drifty conditions.

Surf is still thigh-belly high range but winds are brisk out of the ENE creating a good bit of chop and drift. Some surf but not ideal conditions.

Winds are moderate/strong out of the ENE 10-20mph today.

We have a high tide approaching at 9:00 a.m. low tide will follow at 3:06 pm. We will have high tide to finish our day at 9:22 pm.

The Edisto Buoy is currently reading 4.3ft in a long period swell at 9 seconds out of the east/southeast.

Surf is still holding on but winds are not cooperative at the moment. Still manageable. High pressure then drops down a bit from the north sitting over Bermuda and a small but rideable trade-swell with onshore winds should be in game early work week. Thigh high or so. Some models are sniffing out a weak low out towards the eastern portion of the Caribbean late work week. Well see. Overall nothing epic by anymeans this week but should have some surf to get us wet on the higher Vol boards.

The water temperature is around 69*. A top still feels good especially on the breezy days.

It’s currently 70* and mostly sunny on the island. There is a high of 75* and most all sun out today gents, So get out-side dammit!

Sunrise was at 6:39 am and the sunset will be at 7:57 pm.

Thanks for tuning in for the Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast.
