Good morning, this is Luke Da Kook with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Monday, April 7, 2025.

Choppy

Time of Report: 8:30 a.m.
Wave Forecast: Waist-to-stomach. A bit bigger, occasionally.
Traffic: Not bad.
Parking: Some.
Dangers: Gail winds current

Surf at the Washout is waist+ on the lower tide this morning. Its blowing pretty good out of the SSW but overall saw some decent nugs.

Edisto buoy is currently reading 4.9ft at 7 seconds in a medium period swell from the south/southeast.

Winds are strong and gusty today from the SSW 15-25mph

Low tide is coming up and will be at 11:05am and high tide will be at 5:17pm

Surf is still showing waist+ have fading trade-swell and building shorter period SSW wind-swell in the cards. High pressure still sits offshore Monday with a front approaching from the west. This front moves through tonight where winds clock around more westerly. Hopefully a little clean longboard/higher vol board for Tuesday Am. High pressure then builds over our marine area and the surf looks to take a little break into our middle and late work week.

Our friends at NOAA predict, “Strong high pressure centered over the Atlantic will prevail today, before a cold front impacts the area on Monday. High pressure will then return for the middle of next week. Another cold front could move through late in the week.”

Surf might pick back Tuesday depending on the wind, and might even have some waves into the middle of the week.

The water temperature is around 65*

It’s currently 69* with a high of about 73* and should be pretty cloudy most of the day.

Sunrise was at 7:00am and sunset will be at 7:43pm.

Thanks for tuning in for the Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast.
