Surf is knee high perhaps going to build slightly as this low moves offshore just south of us. Winds will also look to come more WNW late today. For now its Drifty ENE slop.
Winds are currently 15-20mph out of the ENE
Low tide this Afternoon is at 12:26 and high tide will be this afternoon at 6:30,
Edisto buoy is reading 3.6 ft at 6 seconds in short period ENE wind-swell.
Surf still down Knee high slop, hoping it builds just a touch more for a little cleanup log session this afternoon. Surf then looks pretty dang small as high pressure builds back in over our marine area. This coming weekend looks way more promising for substantial surf as strong high pressure moves well offshore and a strong front approaching from the west should pump our surf up in SSW wind-swell. We will keep you in the loop but liking how this weekend is looking surf wise.
NOAA outlook: “A cold front will stall just south of the area this morning with low pressure developing along it this afternoon. The low will pull away from the region Monday with high pressure dominating by the middle of the week.”
The water temperature is around 56*
It’s currently 57* and cloudy and rain here on Folly with a high of 57 and rain clearing later*
Sunrise was at 6:38 a.m., and sunset will be at 6:22 p.m.
Thanks for tuning in for the Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast.
