Good morning, this is Luke Da Kook with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Saturday, April 19 at 7 a.m.

Choppy

Time of Report: 8 a.m.
Wave Forecast: Flat. Maybe knee.
Traffic: none now most likely crazy later
Parking: lmited
Dangers: spring break

Surfs picked up slightly showing knee-thigh high, winds are onshore doesn’t look great but there is a little notch up then what its been.

The wind is out of the southeast at 10-15mph

We have a low tide around report time, high tide today at 12:42 p.m. Low tide will be at 6:47 p.m.

Edisto Buoy is currently reading 2.6ft at 5 seconds from the SE.

Waves should pick up in size a little into the weekend as the south winds continue into next week. High pressure looks to build over Bermuda and a small trade swell should be in the cards for the next few days with onshore flow. Nothing crazy but perhaps enough to get wet!

Our friends at NOAA predict, “High pressure will remain the primary feature through the weekend and into early next week. A front could spread across our region by the middle of next week.”

The water temperature is around 71*. A top still feels good especially on the breezy days.

It’s currently 69* sunny with a high of about 75* and sunshine all day

Sunrise was at 6:45 am and the sunset will be at 7:51 pm.

Thanks for tuning in for the Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast.
