Surf is trying to wake back up knee high drifty wind-swell from the NE currently… monitoring a low forming over the northern Gulf as we speak so a possible uptick in surf into tomorrow morning.
Winds are currently 15-20mph out of the NE
Low tide this morning is at 11:30 and high tide will be this afternoon at 5:30, followed by a low tide after sunset at 7:35.
Edisto buoy is reading 6.2 ft at 6 seconds in short period NE wind-swell.
Surf is looking pretty weak at the moment, There is hope as we have a low beginning to develop to our west. This low is forecasted to move east into our area later today into tomorrow Monday. Im hoping we can sneak a quick shot of Southerly swell before the low moves offshore. Because this is our only real shot of decent surf over the next few days.
NOAA outlook: “A cold front will stall just south of the area this morning with low pressure developing along it this afternoon. The low will pull away from the region Monday with high pressure dominating by the middle of the week.”
The water temperature is around 56*
It’s currently 57* and cloudy here on Folly with a high of 57 and rain moving in later*
Sunrise was at 6:38 a.m., and sunset will be at 6:22 p.m.
Thanks for tuning in for the Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast.
