Surf at the Washout is waist+ in drifty ENE conditions. Its pretty mushy not a ton to work with, but theirs some surf if ya wanna get wet.
Winds are currently out of the ENE around 10-15mph supposed to subside 5-10mph later.
We just came off an early high tide, The only low tide for the day will be at 1:25 pm. High tide will follow at 7:35 pm.
Edisto buoy is currently reading 5.2ft at 8 seconds from the E
Short period drifty Easterly swell showing at Folly up to waist high sets.Friday winds swing out of the south before turning out of the west later in the day. Could have a clean up before sunset, but not sure on the wave size. We have a low pressure setting up over the Northeast with is going to cause prevailing westerly winds into the weekend with minimal surf opportunities.
Our friends at NOAA predict, “High pressure will build in behind the front and remain over the region through Thursday. A cold front will impact southeast Georgia and South Carolina Thursday night into Friday night. A large area of high pressure will dominate the weather pattern this weekend into early next week.”
The water temperature is around 67*
It’s currently 61* sunny with a high of about 71*
