Good morning! This is Luke Da KOOK with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecasts for Thursday, October 8th at 8:00 am.
Surf at the pier is knee to maybe thigh high its pretty weak with this mornings high tide. Overall bring the log some small peelers out there.
Winds are northerly this morning but should come more NE later but remain light.
We have a high tide at report time. Have a low tide at 12:56 p.m. high tide at 7:02 p.m.
Edisto Bouy 2.2 feet at 7 seconds from the ENE.
Surfs backed off a bit but has certainly cleaned up some thigh high peelers at the pier this morning. Friday we begin to focus on the Gulf where it looks like a low grade hurricane forms. High pressure to our north will interact with this system. Onshore flow from the SSE should ramp up later Friday into your Saturday. Strong onshore winds and storms should be in the cards. Hopefully we get a little cleanup late weekend. Weve got surf in the forecast just be patient for good windows by watching the flags and winds.
Its 65 and overcast this morning. Look for a high of 79* with some moments of sunshine mixed with clouds.
