Good morning, this is Luke Da Kook with your Ocean Surf Shop Surf report for Saturday, August 30 at at 8:00 a.m.

The surf at the Pier is knee to thigh high winds are on it a bit from the east. Grab a log weathers cleared up really great beach day weather wise shaping up.

Winds are onshore today from the SE 10-15mph with higher gust around some storm cells.

Tide high this morning at 9:52 a.m and it’ll be low at 4:11 p.m. with an incoming tide the remainder of the day.

Edisto Bouy data 1.6ft from the ESE at 8 seconds.

Surf is still lingering around thigh high sets on offer not the greatest but plenty of enough push to get the logs moving. Looking ahead, surf stays down to begin the work week. Tuesday evening into Weds-Thurs expect some long-period knee-waist high surf from remnants of Dolly to hit our shores. Not expecting anything crazy since Dolly was only a tropical storm for a short period of time and further out into the Atlantic than we would prefer. Time to target this week is Weds and Thurs!

It’s 84 with dark clouds moving onto the beach this morning. Look for thunderstorms today mixed between sun and a high of 85*.

Sunrise is 6:50 a.m. and sunset will be at 7:52 p.m.

Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
