Good morning, this is Luke da Kook with your surf report for Monday Oct 14th at 8:30am.

Semi-choppy

Time of Report: 8:30 a.m.
Wave Forecast: Flat. Maybe knee.
Traffic: Not too bad.
Parking: Plenty.
Dangers: Work.

Chilly mornings, beautiful afternoons. We have your neoprene tops to keep you warm as the water temp is slowly dropping.

Knee high surf with moderate SW winds not ideal conditions out there.

Winds today will be great WSW 10-15mph

We have a low tide at 11:41 am,  have high tide at 6:06 p.m

Edisto Buoy is reading 5.3 feet at 5 seconds in short period WSW swell moving out to sea.

Surf has gradually become flat, massive high pressure builds in over our marine are early work week. Eventually, this high will slide off the New England coast and winds should begin to clock around more NE-ENE so possible high angled ENE wind-swell late work week into the weekend. The long-range low I mentioned yesterday NHC has increased the chance of development since yesterday to 40% something to watch later this week as it should near the Caribbean Islands. In short, not an ideal week of surf ahead.

It’s 63* and sunny. We see a high of 82* and glorious.

Sunrise is at 7:22 a.m., Sunset 6:50 p.m.
