Honoring our hero’s on this Memorial Day.
Surf is about knee high with slightly larger peak here and there. Weak overall but enough to get the logs moving. Clean lines winds are offshore.
Winds are currently out of the west nice and light. Winds will eventually turn more ENE 10-15mph later today adding some texture/chop to the surf.
We have a high tide at report time, low tide following at 1:51p m with high tide this evening at 8:16pm.
The Edisto buoy is currently reading 2.3ft at 4 seconds out of the ESE.
Lots of unsettled weather moving into the low country area these next few days. Looking like some light/moderate onshore flow could develop early-mid week. Knee/thigh/waist high short period surf could be generated in the days ahead. Nothing great by any means but should be enough to get us wet.
Our friends at NOAA say: “A front will linger in the vicinity through the upcoming week while a series of upper disturbances move through.”
Water temperature is about 75*.
It is currently 67* lots of fog this morning. Cloudy with showers in the area warming up into the upper 70s later.
Sunrise was at 6:15am and the sunset will be at 8:18pm
Thanks for tuning in for today’s Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast.
