Good morning, this is Luke Da Kook with your surf report & forecast for Monday June 2nd at 8am coming to ya from the pier.

Clean.

Time of Report: 8 a.m.
Wave Forecast: Flat.
Traffic: None
Parking: Some.
Dangers: None.

Good Luck to all South Carolina Shrimpers as season has just begun!

Tons of new gear at the shop and the summer is right around the corner! There’s a great selection of new and used boards, so swing by and check ‘em out while they’re still here.

Surf is pretty flat out there today. Looking at mid-week this week read on.

Winds are out of the WSW 10-15mph

We have a low tide at report time, the tide is currently rising with high tide hitting at 2:30pm with the next low tide at 8:21pm.

The Edisto buoy is currently reading 2.0ft at 4 seconds coming out the south-west.

Surf is on the downside for the early work week. Moving towards the middle work week time frame things get interesting. High pressure offshore and lots of unsettled moisture lingers off the eastern Florida coast. Models showing some slight rotation and some favorable onshore flow. That said expect a building trend starting later Tuesday. Onshore winds and waist+ surf for weds could be in the cards and this should continue into Thursday with a potential cleanup waist-chest high surf as this little system lifts north. surf fades out into Friday and next weekend. A lot of uncertainty with this forecast I will keep eyes on it as its definitely something of interest to us for potential good surf this week.

Our friends at NOAA say: “High pressure will bring tranquil weather to the area through Tuesday. A disturbance may bring unsettled weather to the region mid to late week.”

Water temperature is about 75*.

It’s pretty nice out there today. It’s currently 69* and is only getting hotter. Today’s high should be 81* Lots of smoke from Canada

Sunrise was at 6:13am and the sunset will be at 8:22pm

Thanks for tuning in for today’s Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast.
