Memorial Day weekend! Kick off of summer.
Surf seems to have picked up slightly from yesterday. Knee high weak surf with light onshore winds.
Winds are currently out of the ESE at 10- 15mph.
We are coming off a high tide at report time, We’re approaching low tide at 12:57p m with high tide this evening at 7:22pm.
The Edisto buoy is currently reading 2.0ft at 9.1 seconds out of the ESE.
Lots of unsettled weather moving into the low country area these next few days. Looking like some light/moderate onshore flow could develop early-mid week. Knee/thigh/waist high short period surf could be generated in the days ahead. Nothing great by any means but should be enough to get us wet.
Our friends at NOAA say: “A front will linger in the vicinity through the upcoming week while a series of upper disturbances move through.”
Water temperature is about 75*.
It is currently 68* but should warm up once the sun comes all the way out with a high of 77* Cloudy with showers in the area.
Sunrise was at 6:15am and the sunset will be at 8:18pm
