Good morning, this is Luke Da Kook with your surf report & forecast Thursday, June 26th coming to you from the pier at 7:30.

Clean.

Time of Report: 8 a.m.
Wave Forecast: Knee-to-thigh.
Traffic: Not too bad.
Parking: Some.
Dangers: munchies

Surf looks to have picked up slightly, knee-thigh high glassy peelers this morning at the pier. Looks fun for the longboards.

Winds are currently coming from the west nice and light. Forecasted to become more SW later picking up 10-15mph

We had a high tide this morning around 9:24 a.m. Look for a low tide this afternoon at 3:20 p.m.,

The Edisto buoy is currently reading 2.0 ft at 8 seconds coming out of the SE.

Weak high pressure sits offshore this has produced a small trade-swell for the longboards. Should stay about the same into the weekend. Early next week High pressure looks to get stronger offshore and perhaps a slight uptick knee-waist highish for early work week next week.

Our guys and gals at NOAA predict: “Hot and humid conditions are expected to continue with rain chances increasing today into late week as surface troughing begins to form near the region and a few upper disturbances pass through. A few thunderstorms may become strong to severe on Wednesday”. So other then a little chance of a thunderstorm late afternoon, its really going to be super-hot and pretty weak wave energy as far as the surfing goes.

Water temperatures are boiling, sitting at a toasty 83*

Again, another beautiful morning on the island. It is currently 84* and sunny. Look for a high of 87* with clouds scattered here and there.

Sunrise was at 6:14 a.m. and the sunset will be at 8:32 p.m.

Thanks for tuning in for today’s Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast.
