Surf is an absolute lake, Flat. Water temperature is slowly climbing back, that’s the good news.
**Pipe and the WSL started yesterday
Winds are light offshore, forecasted to come ENE around 10-15mph later today.
We had a high tide at report time, low tide at 2:40 p.m. High tide at 8:33 p.m.
Edisto Bouy is reading 2.3 feet at 4 seconds in a NNE short period swell.
Surf is flat as high pressure is currently over our marine area. This high pressure should slide offshore overnight tonight and winds should turn more SSW. A front then moves in behind it enhancing our SSW wind flow and surf should start to build Friday in choppy SSW wind-swell. Unfortunately the best part of this swell will be overnight Friday as the front moves out and bring offshore winds with it. Saturday morning it’s a roll of the dice if anything will linger around but lets be hopeful for a longboard wave at least as it will be clean hoping for thigh high peeler leftovers. Some minor ESE trade swell is expected thereafter on Sunday into Monday with light onshore winds. We have some hope in the forecast
The water temperature is around 48*.
It is 50* with a high of 61* and sunny all day.
Sunrise was at 7:17 a.m., and sunset will be at 5:50 p.m.
Thanks for tuning in for the Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast.
