Good morning, this is Luke with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Monday, January 6 at 7 a.m.

Choppy

Time of Report: 8 a.m.
Wave Forecast: thigh-waist building
Traffic: Not too bad.
Parking: Some.
Dangers: gail wind

Surf at Folly is waking back up ahead of this front, Knee-belly high sloppy building SSW wind-swell.

Winds are SSW 15-25 mph look for higher gust as the day moves on.

We have a low tide near report time. High tide at 12:33 p.m., and a low tide at 6:48 p.m.

Eddisto Bouy is reading 6.6 feet at 6 seconds in SSW wind-swell.

Surf is building Ahead of this front expect south south-westerly winds to pick up significantly before the front moves out overnihght Monday. That said unfortunately the cleanup and peak of this swell will be tomorrow night before becoming more flat by Tuesday. Surf then stays pretty dormant mid-week into the end of the work week. Over the weekend next week looking way ahead looks like we could expext another front to interact with our marine area shooting in another SSW wind-swell. We will keep you posted.

The water temperature is around 52*.

It’s warmer today In the low 50s. Look for a high in the low 60s today with sun and increasing winds.

Sunrise was at 7:23 a.m., and sunset will be at 5:26 p.m.

Thanks for tuning in for the Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast.
