GREAT NEWS! Today is the Winter Solstice the shortest daylight day of our year. From here on out more sunshine added to our days!

Our holiday 12 Days of Stoke Sale is in full swing! Come by the shop before Christmas and snag some deals you won’t want to miss.

Surf at Folly is pretty flat ankle to knee high slappers its windy blustery and cold. No thanks.

Winds Are moderate out of our west north west 15+ mph.

We came off a early morning low, have a high tide at 12:15 p.m., will have a low tide at 6:38 p.m.

The Edisto Buoy is reading 5.2 feet at 6 seconds in short period NNE wind-swell moving away from shore.

Surfs gone flat.a dry cold front moves in for the weekend, bringing in Arctic air and small surf Saturday through Monday. A costal trough will form off-shore of our marine waters next week, and this will bring some swell rotating from north-east to south-east, but right now it’s looking like north-east winds will be fairly strong for the Christmas work week. We’ll keep you updated. Seeing surf build more significantly late work week next week something brewing to watch for sure.

Your NOAA marine weather forecast for our waters calls for:  “Arctic high pressure this weekend into early next week. A coastal trough will develop by the middle of next week.”

The water temperature is around 56*.

It’s 39* with sunshine with a high of 54*

Sunrise was at 7:15 a.m., and sunset will be at 5:17 p.m.

Thanks for tuning in for the Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast.
