Good morning, this is Lukewith your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Saturday, January 11 at 8:30 a.m.  

Surf at Folly this morning is chest to shoulder high.   

Winds are moderate out of the South-East 10-15 mph making for choppy but manageable conditions.    

Look for winds to continue SE throughout the remainder of the day.

We had a high tide at report time. Low tide will be at 2:22 p.m.

The Edisto Buoy is reading 8.5 ft at 9 seconds in SE swell.

Surf has built and filled in overnight surf is currently showing some shoulder high sets and looks fun. This swell holds throughout the entire day. A cold front stalls in our marine area Sunday, when we moderate south winds with decent sized surf and bumpy conditions. Look for waves to average chest high (plus) for the period. We forecast significant trade wind swell through the middle of next week as high pressure sets up well off the Mid-Atlantic states, with more on-shore flow predicted. Surf looks to fall off late next week. Plenty of surf in the forecast for the next six days. Wax ‘yo stick. 
 
Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast for our marine area calls for: “A cold front will approach the region on Saturday then will stall over or near the region through the middle of next week. Another cold front will sweep through next Thursday.”
 

It’s 65* this morning with a few showers in the area. Look for a high of 73* today and clouds, with a light shower.

Water temperature is 57*.

Sunrise is at 7:22 a.m. and sunset will be at 5:29 p.m.
