Good morning, this is Luke with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Sunday, January 12 at 8:30 a.m.

Surf at Folly this morning is chest to shoulder high hard to see due to dense fog.

Winds are moderate out of the South-East 15 mph making for choppy but manageable conditions.

Look for winds to continue SE throughout the morning, although becoming lighter in the afternoon hours.

We had a high tide at 8:53. Low tide will be at 3:08 p.m.

The Edisto Buoy is reading 7.5 ft at 10 seconds in SE swell.

Surf hasn’t changed much from yesterday still shoulder high sets and a bit crossed up due to the onshore winds. Look for it to slowly cleanup throughout the later part of today. This swell sticks around into Monday with cleaner conditions on offer in the waist to chest high area. We forecast significant trade wind swell through the middle of next week as high pressure sets up well off the Mid-Atlantic states, with more on-shore flow predicted. Surf looks to fall off late next week. Plenty of surf in the forecast for the next six days. Wax ‘yo stick.

Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast for our marine area calls for: “A cold front will stall over the area today, before shifting back inland as a warm front tonight. The front will linger over or near the region through the middle of the week. Another cold front will cross the area on Thursday, followed by high pressure late week"

It’s 70* this morning with a few showers in the area and lots of fog. Look for a high of 73* today and clouds, with a light shower.

Water temperature is 57*.

Sunrise is at 7:22 a.m. and sunset will be at 5:29 p.m.
