Good morning, this is Luke with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Saturday, January 25 at 8:30 a.m.

Surf at Folly this morning is waist-to-chest high.

It looks fun this morning. But it’s a little soft at the higher tide, early. It could get better form as the tide drops out some.

Winds are west at 5-10 knots, and surf zone is clean as a result.

Winds continue west at 10 knots throughout the rest of the day.

Tide just started going out. Low tide will be at 1:35 p.m. The next high tide will be at 7:33 pm.

The Edisto Buoy is reading 5.9 ft. at 11 seconds in an east/south-east swell.

Look like a fun day to get wet as we are currently seeing sets into the chest high area with clean conditions. Last nights front has pushed through and winds have gone offshore this Saturday morning. Surf does begin to fade later this afternoon into Sunday morning. The work week at the moment looking small. Although a few smaller systems look to push out of the Gulf area mid-week we will have to see if they are wave makers as models become more clear. Get wet today!

Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast for our marine area calls for: “High pressure will prevail through the weekend. A few quick moving storm systems will bring some impacts to the area next week.”

It’s 55* this morning lots of sunshine. Look for a high of 60* with sun in the forecast.

Water temperature has dropped back down to 54*. Bundle up.

Sunrise is at 7:18 a.m. and sunset will be at 5:44 p.m.
