Good morning, this is Luke with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Wednesday, July 15 at 8:30 a.m.

Mandatory Mask Ordinance enacted by Folly Beach City Council in late June. You must wear a mask in Ocean Surf Shop. Thank you for your cooperation, and for supporting our small, local business.

Surf at Folly this morning is showing knee-thigh and weak. Enough for the logs.

Winds are light and variable early making for clean conditions.

Winds will increase in the afternoon hours our of the south-east 10-15mph adding noticeable chop and funk.

We are approaching low tide at 10:15 a.m., and high tide will be at 4:34 p.m.

The Edisto Buoy is reading 2.6 feet at 8 seconds in an south-east swell.

Surf is back down this morning only showing weak knee-thigh nuggets. It is enough to push the logs. Looking ahead high pressure begins to settle back over our marine area and unfortunately keeps our surf down for the remainder of the work week. We will keep you posted hope everyone got wet the last few days.

Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast for our marine area calls for: “A weak front linger in the vicinity through Wednesday. The front is expected to dissipate by Thursday, before high pressure prevails across the Southeast into early next week.”

It’s 79* and sunny at the beach this morning. Look for a hot day with a high of 91* at the beach and high humidity.

Water temperature is up to 85*.

Sunrise is at 6:19 a.m. and sunset will be at 8:30 p.m.

Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
