July 16 Pier
Good morning gang, this is Eazy with your surf report & forecast Wednesday, July 16th coming to you from the pier.
There’s a ton of energy un the water today but not a ton of organization and nothing is clean. Super dumpy choppy conditions for the day today but there is some energy if you do have to get wet. Lots of energy just very hard to navigate and get any good rides it seems.
Winds are currently coming from the S at 10-15kt with gusts up to 20kt. Small chance for some random thunderstorms today as well so be on the lookout for that summer whacky weather pattern that Folly is known for.
We will have a high tide at 12:47 p.m. Look for a low tide in the later afternoon at 6:50 p.m.
The Edisto buoy is currently reading 3.6ft at 7 seconds coming out of the SE.
Nothing insane and awesome on the menu for the day but maybe a late night sunset session if the wind lays down.
Our guys and gals at NOAA predict that a: “Atlantic high pressure will prevail through early next week.” Thus, hopefully providing some kind of change in the wave algorithm around folly lately!
Water temperatures are sitting at a toasty 84*
It is currently 83* and mostly cloudy (it feels like a microwave out here). Look for a high of 86* with sunshine and possibly a little bit of showers.
Sunrise was at 6:24 a.m. and the sunset will be at 8:29 p.m.
