Winds will increase to around 10-15mph out of the south later this afternoon adding some chop.
We are coming to a high tide at 8:18 a.m . A low tide will follow at 2:17 p.m along with another high tide at 8:43 this evening.
The Edisto Buoy is reading 2.6 feet at 7 seconds in an south-east swell.
Surf is looking small to begin the work week only showing knee high at best this Monday morning. Look for this small trend to continue through much of our work week as high pressure is dominating our marine area. This high pressure shifts further east late work week and looks to produce a small trade swell from the south for next weekend weekend. Tropics are heating up a little bit an area of interest in south Florida looks to better organize and head into the gulf of Mexico early this week. We will keep you posted but for the short-mid term surf looks down.
Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast for our marine area calls for: “High pressure will persist this week.”
It’s 79* and sunny at the beach this morning. Look for a hot day with a high of 91* at the beach and high humidity.
Water temperature is up to 85*.
Sunrise is at 6:19 a.m. and sunset will be at 8:30 p.m.
Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
