Good morning, this is Scott with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Sunday June 13 at 8:30 a.m.
We have new Jason Rowells Epoxy Gordo models that just arrived. It’s the perfect mid-length for Folly. Come check them out.
Surf at Folly is knee-to-thigh high this morning. It looks like the line is holding up for a bigger board.
Winds are west-north-west at around 5 knots, and the surf zone is pretty clean at the moment. Best for the longboard if you want to get a glide in.
Winds will peak up this afternoon around 12p.m. transitioning to north-north-east.
We have a high tide at 10:30 a.m., and a low tide will be at 4:28 p.m. The next high tide is at 10:48 p.m.
Surf is rideable and could be fun on a bigger board. As the wind picks up and changes direction look for choppier waters so get out in the morning if you can. Be cautious of all the rain getting onto the island and other than that there isn’t too much great surf in our forecast for the day.
Your National Weather Service Marine Weather forecast calls for: “An area of low pressure will develop just off the South Carolina coast today and will depart to the northeast tonight. A cold front could approach the region by the middle of next week.”
It’s 73* and rainy at the beach. Look for a high of 79* with a good chance for thunderstorms and showers on-and-off today.
Water temperature is around 80*.
Sunrise is at 6:12 a.m. and sunset will be at 8:29 p.m.
Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
